Public Hearings

Public Hearings are organised by parliamentary committees to solicit the views and opinions of interest groups and the general public on a specific piece of legislation or any other matter before the House. Public Hearings are usually held at various venues throughout the country to give the public a fair chance to be heard. The dates and venues of Public Hearings are always announced through the media. Persons who wish to make statements or representations at Public Hearings are encouraged to do so in writing or verbally, so that their views are accurately recorded.
